Cougars- 26 utes 23- Team Two- 9 team one- 6

The DR and Oldest went to Cougar Town for the BIG GAME, and they rode out with Uncle J and cousin T. Although a little tense at the end- as in overtime- the Cougs were victorious. Not without controversy, of course. I want to know why members of the church who are NOT students at the U are so venomous and hateful towards BYU- I do not get it.

The Outpatient, Bo, Dalton, and T had a game at 9:30 so they FLEW back and got to the rink at 9:50. The Outpatient was trying, but without his side kick- their team was getting kicked- 6-1. Once T hit the ice and the Larsen line was intact- they pulled it together and scored 8 unanswered goals in the last two periods to win the game. Outpatient came to visit me once in the penalty box.. That is rather normal. Fun game finally, but we got the patients in their wards after midnight. SOO grateful for late church.

Love watching Outpatient play. LOVE IT! Great to see Bo back on the ice too. I love those boys.

No- I am not dead or missing :)

Grandma Bunnie called. She wanted to know if her child was dead or missing since there hasn't been a post in a few days. I am here- and relatively fine. Saturday- the second game ended up in another tie- 3 to 3. Then we made a super dash out to Cougar town, dropped the DR off at the game (no comment on that one), and went to make Monster Cupcakes with the Woffies.
Sunday was not a great day. Yesterday was Payroll Monday. Today was spent trying to outrun the snow while trying to "vacuum" the FIVE MILLION leaves up off the lawn. Oh, and making a last minute Halloween Costume since Youngest changed her mind about what she wanted to be (for the third time). Fun times were had by all.

I have to admit, the tender mercies have been a little too well camouflaged this week. Other than a rather big and expensive one.

As you know, Outpatient recently realized his dream of becoming a Mac owner. That was two weeks ago yesterday. One week ago today, he came upstairs to inform me he was ticked. Apple just announced a newer, bigger, better, badder iMac. And they no longer were selling the one he JUST barely took possession of. Both the DR and I told him to at least call and talk to someone in Customer Service. Within less than 30 minutes, he had the new machine on order, and I had an email with the RMA#. He was told it would not be able to be shipped until Nov. 18th- but small price to pay.

I received shipping notice on the 22nd and the computer made it here from China by yesterday. That is some serious customer service. I had hoped- at the most- for a refund of a couple of hundred dollars. Small problem- it did come with a Spanish keyboard. I feel confident that will be a minor thing to deal with.

Other than that- I still didn't get all the leaves mowed up- and we need to do it down at the in-laws- so I am crossing my fingers it doesn't really snow all night and tomorrow like the weather says, so we can make an attempt at their house.

Remember how I said Winter would be quick on the heels of Autumn? Yeah- about that....

Cougars- Victorious. Labor Day- Laborious. Edited

Pic from last season

As you might well imagine, the Looney Bin was a happy place Saturday night. Much whooping and cheering was to be heard. Cousin THL, and Uncle J came to join the party, along with a surprise visit from Best Friend. Now, everyone is totally prepared for the national media people to refuse to give the Cougs their just dues, as they did with Washington last year. I was surprised, however, to find that for the most part, they begrudgingly did give the Cougs credit for holding the QB to his lowest numbers prior to his injury, and also to the offensive line for doing an awesome job as well. BYU -14-- Sooners (ranked 3 in the nation) 13. Woo Hoo!
(not that I am a betting person and I do not condone it- but the point spread in Vegas was Sooners by 31 points)

The season is under way.

Labor Day was used as exactly that. Labor. Well, not the having a baby kind of Labor. The DR and I dismantled the weight set which has been a major piece of the decor in the male patients wing for over 7 years now. We removed it to the family room and set it back up. Not as bad as we thought it would be, but we now have three new dents in the wall. We moved the snowmobile trailer up to Uncle J's house. We dumped the tanks and cleaned them in the Cougar (yucky job, but could be sooooo much worse). I personally handled so many loads of laundry I lost count. The DR claims it is because I also emptied and refolded all of the patients' drawers full of clothes as well. I have decided the patients have too many clothes. DR hauled off to storage the bins of toys and such, and today will haul off the trash. So, the tally for the weekend is. Toy closet, Family Room, and Storage Room- totally clean. Crap Room got a little messier, it sorts of functions as the dump here at the Looney Bin. I will deal with that tonight for a little while. And every one of the drawers for each patient is orderly for however long that lasts. It might even be over already. Laundry and Dishes. Never done.

Middle and Oldest got to go on a major hike with some neighbors, so they kind of labored too, and we didn't have their "help" for the day. Youngest stayed home and got to go out to lunch with the DR which led her to claim it the "best day of my life". One of the best traits of youngest is that she does not need anyone else to entertain her. She, like Outpatient, can play by herself for hours.

All in all, a good long weekend.
